Hibs.net donation to be invested in new technology to help player welfare
The members of popular fan forum Hibs.net have donated another £10,187.50 to the club brining their total contribution to a staggering £119,397.58.
Part of this donation will be used to finance new sports science software that will be utilised throughout the club.
Sporting Director Graeme Mathie said: “We’re all very appreciative of any donation given by the supporters to help the club and the Hibs fans continue to go above and beyond to help the team.
“The donations from Hibs.net are always used, specifically, to help the football department and have allowed us to implement new ideas or technologies to keep us at the forefront in support services to the players.
“Part of this donation will be used to invest in technology that will allow Nathan Ring and his team to collect meaningful information on player wellbeing, which will help them to plan specific training programmes.
“Hopefully we can welcome Hibs.net members to HTC to say ‘thanks’ in person as we have done in the past, as soon as the restrictions are eased and we’re able to do so.”
Hibs.net administrator Stuart McClelland added: “Hibs.net is pleased to be able to support the club financially and would like to extend our sincere thanks to our users, members and private members – who allow us to make these annual donations.
“We’re delighted that our contribution will assist the sports science department and hopefully being some value to the hard-working staff behind the scenes at HTC.”
