Have you started storing Christmas gifts in your house? Are your gifts now under the Christmas tree? If so police are asking you to make sure your doors and windows are secured when you go to bed or leave your property unattended.

Don’t give thieves an early Christmas gift.

Here are some tips to keep your home safe

Double check that all your windows and doors are locked before heading out, or going to bed

If you’ve got a house alarm, make sure it’s set

 Switch on any timer lights to make your house look occupied when you’re out

Make sure you don’t leave any gifts in view of windows

Keep cash in your home to a minimum.
