Police advice following rise in telephone, email and online scams

Police Scotland has issued advice to the public following a rise in telephone, email and online scams, claiming to be a bank, HMRC, DWP, Health Board, telephone or broadband to name a few.

They appear very plausible, but if you are in any doubt end the call. Do NOT follow any instructions to move money or buy gift vouchers.

If a crime has occurred, then call Police Scotland on 101 or 999 in an emergency.
