The Balmoral Introduces ‘The Curfew Club’

The Balmoral is offering guests the perfect antidote to restrictions on the hospitality industry with a curated range of after dark experiences.

The Balmoral, a Rocco Forte Hotel in Edinburgh, has launched The Curfew Club, an exclusive series of new in-room, after 10pm experiences, intended to curb guests’ cravings for the well-loved Edinburgh nightlife.

As the colder season begins to roll in, The Balmoral is encouraging guests to join the club offering a range of in-room retreats, with a selection of decadent cosy nights in. From a virtual whisky tasting with the hotel’s very own SCOTCH ambassador, to a complimentary movie night accompanied by an indulgent cinematic inspired menu, there is an option for every household – nights in at The Balmoral, truly are the new nights out.

As a member of the club, guests can enjoy a range of exclusive experiences, all without having to leave the safe haven of their room, the perfect space to share an unforgettable experience with their loved ones.

For whisky lovers, a selection of whiskies have been thoughtfully handpicked from SCOTCH bar’s collection of over 500 single malts and will be delivered straight to the room or suite. The hotel’s Whisky Ambassador will share some liquid history, thoughtfully taking guests through the tasting notes of each in his virtual tasting experience. Whether you are a beginner or a connoisseur, the virtual tasting experiences promise to showcase the best of Scotland’s amber nectar.

Opt for a movie night, with a luxury cinematic experience. All guests in the hotel will receive complimentary movies best enjoyed with light bites from a special movie night menu. Lovingly designed by Executive Head Chef, Gary Robinson, the menu is inspired by traditional cinema cuisine including lavish, hand-pulled sourdough pizza topped with Balmoral cure smoked salmon, mascarpone, truffle oil, soft quail eggs and caviar; a selection of popcorns and the sweet macaron ‘burger’, creatively designed by the hotel’s Executive Pastry Chef Ross Sneddon – a truly decadent evening in, for all.

Continue on in high spirits with in-room cocktail creation. Guests can try their hand at mixology and create their own cocktails. A selection of glassware, boston shakers and ingredients will be provided, so whether it’s neat or on the rocks, guests can get creative and mix their own cocktails into the wee small hours of the evening.

The Balmoral invites guests to proudly hang their Do Not Disturb sign, slip into their bathrobes and slippers and join The Curfew Club, experiencing Edinburgh like never before.
