Scotland Head Coach Steve Clarke has alluded to freshening up the side and Hibs’ trio Ryan Porteous, Paul McGinn and Paul Hanlon are all hoping to feature in tonight’s Nation’s League tie against the Czech Republic particularly following the withdrawal from the squad of Liam Cooper due to injury.

Scotland round off their international triple header in October with a top of the table clash against the Czech Republic.

Lyndon Dykes’ second half strike secured three points for Steve Clarke’s side on Sunday night and Scotland will now look to extend or maintain their advantage at the top of Group B2, with the Czech Republic only one point behind.

If Scotland can obtain a positive result it will extend their unbeaten run to eight matches and mean they enter November’s triple header with a real chance of securing qualification for UEFA EURO 2020 through the Play-Offs and earning promotion to League A of the Nations League.

With two goals in four games after making his international debut in September former Livingston striker Lyndon Dykes is full of confidence.

He said: “Seven games unbeaten, another clean sheet, another goal for myself, it was a great night,” he said of the match against Slovakia.

“I feel at home and really enjoying coming away and learning. I’m sure we’ve got a great future which I believe in.

“We’re focused on the next game against Czech Republic. Hopefully we can get the three points and I can get a hat-trick.

“Since I’ve come in I think we’re only getting better. We’re getting more understanding with the players, we’ve got great depth, we made a few changes tonight and they didn’t look out of place at all, and you’ve got boys coming off the bench that could be starting.”
