Jason Biggin, club secretary, said anybody is welcome to join the list but non-members are welcome to fish the water on day tickets. One day ticket angler, Joshua Hughes, recently landed a fine 3lb tench (pictured).

Anglers are reminded that it is barbless hooks only.

Club member Sean Ford, has been appointed to a new trial role as maintenance co-ordinator and he has been tackling much-needed swim repairs and maintenance.

Unfortunately, weekly work parties to keep on top of the weed have been halted because of Government CODID-19 regulations.

The water has been fishing well with chod rigs fished over slightly weedy areas, poly-vinyl alcohol (PVA) bags over solid spots and pop-ups/wafters boilies over a bed of bait in silt attracting fish.

Also on warmer days, bread on the surface has produced some nice fish and tench, barbel and silver fish have also been teased out on the method feeder.

Float fishing over ground bait with maggot or sweetcorn as hook bait has also worked and Jason said carp captures are currently averaging of around 15lb.
