Hibs’ keeper Ofir Marciano conceded his first goal from open play last night after Scotland’s UEFA Nations League rivals Israel snatched a last-gasp draw against Slovakia.

Marciano has played in seven competitive matches since the season started and the only goals he has conceded came from free-kicks and penalties.

That record was broken after 14 minutes when Michael Duris scored to give Slovakia the lead.

It looked as though Slovakia would take all three points until substitute Ilkay Elmkies from Hoffenheim scored a last minute equaliser.

The 1-1 draw suited Scotland as Steve Clarke’s team now sitting two points above Israel and three above Slovakia in the Nations League group after last night’s victory over Czechoslovakia.

Marciano will be back in action for Hibs on Saturday when Jack Ross’s men travel to Paisley to face St Mirren with new signing Dillon Barnes who joined the club on loan from Queens Park Rangers providing him competition for the first team place.
