Bowling – Bosses urge club members to stick to Scottish Government rules

Bowls Scotland have confirmed new restrictions which must be followed when staff, club members and visitors are off the green outwith the ‘bowling bubble’.

These changes include up to a maximum of six people from two households can now meet. This applies both indoors and outdoors (under 12’s from the two households are not counted within this limit).

Face coverings are now mandatory for indoor hospitality. This means you must wear a mask when entering, leaving or moving round the clubhouse.

Bowls Scotland are also encouraging all clubs and members to download the Scottish Governments new Test & Protect App and a spokesman said: “This will help keep your friends, family and fellow bowlers safe.”

The spokesman added: “All Bowls Scotland member clubs must ensure they follow this new legislation set out by the Scottish Government.

“We appreciate these changes may be challenging, but public health continues to be the No 1 priority and these measures will help ensure the safety of your members and the wider community.”
