Police have renewed their appeal for help to trace a 39-year-old man who has been missing for six days.

Shawn Watson, also known as Shawn Payne, was last seen on Church Street, in Broxburn, between 10am and 11am on Monday.

There have been potential sightings in the Eyemouth and Berwick Upon Tweed areas.

He is described as white, between 5ft 8in and 5ft 10in in height, with a medium build and dark hair, which may have been dyed a different colour. 

He was wearing cream shorts, a white t-shirt, a black body warmer and cream or white training shoes when he was last seen.  He was also carrying a black rucksack.

Sergeant Stephen Granger of Galashiels Police Station, said: “Shaun has been missing for some time now and concerns for him are growing.

“We are appealing for anyone who may have seen him of who know of his whereabouts to get in touch with us.”

Anyone with any information is asked to call Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident number 0996 of August 4.
