Jamie Gullan called up for Scotland’s Under-21 game at Tynecastle

Hibs’ striker Jamie Gullan has been called up for the Scotland Under-21 squad for the UEFA qualifiers against Croatia at Tynecastle and Greece at the Theodoros Vardinoyannis Stadium.

The youngster was on-loan to Raith Rovers during the early
part of the season and quickly became a fans’ favourite scoring an impressive
nine goals

He returned to Easter Road in January and came off the bench
to score his first goal for the club in Hibs’ 5-2 Scottish Cup victory over
Inverness Caledonian Thistle, before being handed his first start in the
weekend defeat to Aberdeen.

The home match will kick-off at 7pm on Friday, 27 March in
Edinburgh as Scotland continue their bid for qualification.

Head Coach Scot Gemmill said: “Tynecastle is a
fantastic stadium with excellent facilities, one which we’re familiar with and
it presents another fantastic opportunity for our young players.

“We face a difficult challenge hosting Croatia. Away from
home we showed resolve and character to come back from a goal down and win, but
we know we will be facing a talented side in Edinburgh later this month.

“I speak often about our players testing themselves against
different types of teams and players, Croatia is a great example of that type
of test due to their rich history in producing talented players at
international level.”
