Bass Rock Shore Angling League host an open pegged match on Sunday, April 12.

No entries will be take on the day and there are 80 pegs available for pre-booking.

The venue is Belhaven Beach and entry is £10 for adults with an optional £5 entry for the longest fish prize.

Juniors are free but must be accompanied by an adult at all times and the match counts towards Penn League points.

Registration is from 8am to 9am at West Barns Bowling Club EH42 1UH where filled rolls, tea and coffee will be available.

Fishing is from 10am to 2pm and the match is zoned. The rules are catch, measure and release and the bottom limit is 18cm for flat fish and 20cm for round fish.

Junior entrants measure all their fish and the presentation is back at West Barns Bowling Club.

Meanwhile, the final round of the Bass Rock winter angling league is a rover competition on February 5.

Registration is at 6.30pm at Whitekirk Church and entrants can fish anywhere they like in East Lothian.

Scottish Federation of Sea Anglers minimum fish sizes apply and the heaviest fish and heaviest bag win prizes.

The series trophy presentation will be after the weigh-in.
