Burns&Beyond celebrating Burns and Chinese New Year #CNYEdinburgh
This year is unusual as Burns Night and Chinese New Year coincide, something which will not happen again for 76 years. To celebrate all of this culture from both Scotland and China, Burns&Beyond along with Johnnie Walker have a selection of events for you in the next ten days or so.
The Chinese Lanterns at St Giles’ Cathedral is now in place and you can see this for free during the day and for a charge of £5.00 from 5.30pm to 8.00pm. The launch event last night featured actor Gareth Morrison who played a mighty Rabbie Burns.

Burns&Beyond with Johnnie Walker takes place at venues like Assembly Rooms with some really big names like Edwyn Collins, Tidelines and KT Tunstall all of which could be here and gone before you notice! So here is Al Thomson of event organisers Unique Events telling us some of what is happening.
Really don’t miss some of the big events in @burnsandbeyond @EdwynCollins tonight and @KTTunstall on Saturday are just two examples. Here is just a flavour of what’s happening from Al at @UniqueEventsltd #CNYEdinburgh pic.twitter.com/uewzt9GYHA
