Ice hockey – Fife skid to defeat but Stars shine

Elite League: Glasgow Clan 5, Fife Flyers 2; Dundee Stars 4, Manchester Storm 3.

Glasgow Clan claimed four goals in a devastating six minute spell deep in the final period to beat Fife Flyers at Braehead.

Mikael Lidhammar started the goal rush after 52 minutes and Nolan LaPorte, Chad Rau and Linden Springer netted before the 59th minute to come from 2-1 down to win 5-2.

Dundee Stars came from 1-0 down to edge fellow-strugglers Manchester Storm 4-3 on Tayside with the winner coming from Eglis Kains less than four minutes from time.
