Brunton – busy venue promoting a varied programme of events

I feel comfortable at the busy Brunton which promotes a programme of visiting drama, dance, music – we enjoyed music legend Ralph McTell there – comedy, children’s theatre, film, workshops and musicals.

Screenings of live opera, drama and dance from major London venues also feature on the calendar as well as amateur and community productions.

The popular annual pantomime is a big attraction and there are two theatres, a 300-capacity tiered and a 500-seat main hall which hosts a variety of concerts.

The curved bar serves drinks before the show and during the interval (including Deuchars IPA £4 a bottle) while the popular bistro serves snacks and lunches as well as pre-theatre suppers.

Artwork around the distinctive builing near the centre of town was created by Glasgow-based glass artist Deborah Campbell with fish, seaweed and waves in the design. There is bags of parking in the surrounding area.

So, take a look at the programme. There should be something to suit.
