Ice hockey – fans invited to meet and greet Racers’ stars
Murrayfield Racers are holding a Meet & Greet event in the rink bar after Sunday’s home game against North Ayrshire Wild (face-off 6pm). Fans are invited to meet this season’s squad and grab a few pictures.
Todd Dutiaume believes there is no better home opener for Fife Flyers than a clash with Glasgow Clan and the pair square-up on Saturday (7.15pm) in the Challenge Cup. Flyers should be at full-strength.
Bothers Paul and Tim Crowder, Danick Gauthier and Dylan Quaile have arrived after a season in Australia.
And the quartet trained with the rest of the players for the first time on Thursday night.
Meanwhile, Dundee Stars visit Manchester Storm (7pm) in their opening Elite League match and new captain Matt Marquardt has unfinished business.
He believes Dundee deserved better last season and should have made the play-offs so the 32-year-old is determined to help Stars make a great start to the league campaign.
