How do you explain this except to say that the show is by Manual Cinema – and that is your very best clue.

The stories of Frankenstein and Mary Shelley’s own life are exquisitely unfolded before your eyes on the big screen, both filmed and projected live. It is an intricate stage set and this show is skilfully and imaginatively presented, and you can see in detail how it is being created. Nothing is hidden from view.

With puppets, acetate slides. a bit of live acting and a live music score (you can buy a recording of this at the end) the cast do not rest for long during this production. There is seamless interaction between the puppets and the actors and the whole is a clever, original show. You might need to know a little about the story of Frankenstein – but then everybody does right?

Love, loss, and creation merge in unexpected ways in this thrilling classic gothic tale conceived by Manual Cinema.
