Residents evacuated following fire at launderette in Stockbridge

A number of residents were evacuated from their houses last night as firefighters tackled a large blaze at a laundrette in Stockbridge.

Emergency services were called to the scene in Raeburn Place after the alarm was raised at 9.54pm.

The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service confirmed that three fire engines and an aerial appliance were in attendance.

No-one is reported to have been injured.
