Roads to be resurfaced from end of May
The council has announced plans to resurface certain streets in the city centre and surrounding the tram route to Newhaven with works beginning on 27 May.
The work will start in Abercromby Place and will include resurfacing the carriageway, pedestrian access and public realm improvements as well as traffic signal upgrades. Traffic lights will be installed at the junction at Easter Road/Lochend Road and Duke Street.
This is part of the council’s plan to spend £125m on city roads and footpaths over five years and has been brought forward from next year.
