Hibs announce that seventeen players will leave the club
Hibs have confirmed the the departure of seventeen players
following the expiry of their contracts and loan spells at the end of the
2018/19 season.
On-loan goalkeeper Adam Bogdan has returned to parent club
Liverpool whilst Darnell Johnson will return to Leicester City, his spell north
of the border having been blighted by injury.
It was a similar story for Gael Bigirimana, whose short-term
contract has expired.
Model professional Jonathan Spector’s opportunities were
limited through the consistency of those in front of him but he did appear as a
late replacement in the win at Tynecastle.
Marc McNulty returns to Reading following the conclusion of
his loan spell, with eight goals and five assists in 17 appearances.
Australian captain Mark Milligan signed off with a typically
all-action performance in the heart of midfield in Sunday’s game against
Aberdeen.
Fans’ favourite Marvin Bartley has signed a pre-contract
with Livingston and received a tremendous farewell during his substitute’s
appearance yesterday and was handed the captain’s armband by skipper David
Gray.
Dutch international left-back Miquel Nelom departs following
the expiry of his contract
Goalkeeper Ross Laidlaw has spent the last few months on
loan at Dundee United and will depart with the expiry of his contract.
Ryan Gauld returns to parent club Sporting CP after his loan
spell was blighted by injury after an impressive start.
Midfield livewire Stephane Omeonga will link back up with Genoa after he has
featured for Belgium’s Under-21s in this summer’s European Championships.
Thomas Agyepong showed the odd flash of his undoubted
ability but again missed many games due to injury.
In addition, the following players from the Development
Squad will not have their contracts extended.
Callum Donaldson, Kane O’Connor, Kevin Waugh Lewis Allan and
Ruairi Paton.
