EDINBURGH Monarchs travel to Glasgow Tigers on Sunday (tapes-up 5pm) in the Championship Shield after the disappointment of Friday night’s postponement at Armadale.
A Monarchs spokesman said that the long-awaited fixture was called-off well in advance of start time following heavy rain.
He added: “We don’t have a restaging date at the moment and obviously it’s not an easy one with two Friday teams involved.”
Monarchs co-promoter Alex Harkess said: “None of the riders wanted to race. Both teams agreed.
“When you walked on it you could understand. The rain had done its damage.”
