Hockey – Grange keep treble alive
Grange play Dundee-based Grove Menzieshill in the play-off final in Glasgow on Saturday after beating Uddingston 4-1 at Fettes to keep their treble dream alive.
Frank Ryan netted a double for the newly-crowned league champions, who are also in the Scottish Cup Final, with Dan Coultas and Todd Mills also netting while
Grove edged Western Wildcats 2-1 thanks to a last minute winner from Cameron Golden.
In the women’s play-offs, champions Edinburgh University lost 1-0 to Western Wildcats and the scorer was McKenzie Bell early in the second-half.
Wildcats face Clydesdale Western in the final after they beat Dundee Wanderers 5-3.
Hillhead and Kelburne stay in Division One after the men’s relegation play-offs, Kelburne beating Watsonians 2-1 in Edinburgh and Watsonians now play Division Two runners-up Dunfermline Carnegie for a place in the top flight next season. The Fifers lost 3-1 to Hillhead.
And Erskine Stewart’s Melville (ESM) women will play Glasgow University in the relegation/promotion clash after ESM lost 2-1 to Hillhead.
