Speedway – Doolan powers to Bordernapolis win

Home hero Kevin Doolan powered to victory in the Bordernapolis event which kick-started Berwick Bandits’ speedway season.

His Berwick team-mate Aaron Summers was second with another Bandits star, Nikolaj Busk Jakobsen, third.

Former Berwick and Edinburgh Monarchs rider Matthew Weathers was fourth on a chilly night in the Borders.

Summers led Doolan in the first lap of the final and it all looked clear cut until Doolan turned on the power on the third bend of the last lap to reach the tape first.
