Scottish Cup: quarter-final: Perthshire 1, Grange 11.

Jamie Scroll scored on his debut as holders Grange eased through to the semi-final of the Scottish Cup.

The current Division One pace-setters hammered Division Two side Perthshire 11-1.

The Edinburgh side led 1-0 but gutsy Perthshire levelled before the holders upped the tempo to lead 6-1 at the break.

Former Great Britain and Scotland international Dan Coultas netted a hat-trick and Scotland under-18 star Jacob Tweedie and Frank Ryan both claimed doubles.

There were singles for Alan Johnston, Callum Milne, Greg Hopkinson and 25-year-old Scroll.

Ed Irvine, Grange’s manager, said: “Perthshire had a few periods of good play. On another day may have brought a couple of goals but Grange had the upper hand from half-way through the first-half.”
