Racial Abuse Alleged at Tynecastle Park
Police Scotland have confirmed two people were arrested following Hearts game with Motherwell at Tynecastle on Saturday. The reason for their arrests has not been given but it is understood from social media reports that racial abuse was directed towards the Motherwell player Christian Mbulu during the game.
It is understood that Police Scotland have been given cc tv footage from the main stand at Tynecastle which shows a number of people shouting abusive comments towards the player. Hearts have told BBC Scotland they are aware of the incident and are co-operating with Police Scotland.
The incident follows alleged racist abuse to Celtic’s Scott Sinclair during last Sunday’s Betfred Cup final with Aberdeen at Hampden Park.
