Hibs help those at risk of social isolation this Christmas
Hibs will throw open the doors of Easter Road Stadium on Christmas Day for the third year in succession.
A hearty festive meal and good company will be provided for those at risk of social isolation at this time of year.
With a focus on those aged 65 and over, the initiative – led by Hibernian’s partnership with GameChanger, the Hibernian Community Foundation and NHS Lothian – is part of the Edinburgh Cheer campaign.
Food for the lunches will come from Tesco stores across Edinburgh, with Store Manager Fraser Cromar joining Paul Hanlon and Hearts’ Harry Cochrane to promote the events.
Chief Executive Leeann Dempster said: “We are delighted Tesco is once again supporting the campaign to such a fantastic extent.
“Their help is more than supplying food and helping with logistics. They have thrown themselves into the spirit of the campaign, from staff volunteering and fundraising through to getting engaged in the planning.”
