Edinburgh’s Christmas- 16 November 2018- 5 January 2019, Princes Street Gardens and George Street: This much loved festival returns for another year, promising Christmas markets on both George and Princes Street, as well as rides, delicious snacks, ice-skating and Santa’s Grotto. Tickets to events can be purchased on the day, but to avoid disappointment book in advance here.
Christmas at the Botanic Cottage: St Andrew’s Fair Saturday: 1 December, 12.00-15.00, Botanic Cottage: The Royal Botanic Gardens offers visitors a chance to get into the Christmas spirit with an afternoon of crafts and Christmas carols. Christmas Charity Festival
17-18 December 2018, Inverleith Park: Now in its eighth year, this Christmas fair aims to create Christmas cheer while raising significant funds for charities including Marie Curie and Royal Blind. Events kick off at 9.30 with a 5k run, followed by a 10k run at 11.00. Family friendly events include the chance to meet Santa at 1.15pm, followed by a Santa Toddle parade. There are also charity stalls and a cafe to stop for a rest. For more information, visit the website.
3D2D Christmas Craft, Art & Design Fair- 8-9 December, 54 George Street, 10.30-17.00: This exciting event offers visitors the chance to buy directly from over 100 of Scotland’s leading artists. There should be a diverse collection of art on display, offering visitors the chance to find the perfect Christmas present or something for themselves. £3.00 for concessions and £4.00 for adults. La Clique Noel: Part Deux- 16 Nov 2018-5 Jan 2019, Edinburgh West: Since its origins at the 2004 Edinburgh Fringe, Olivier-winning La Clique has received critical and popular acclaim. Part Deux brings back both the old and the new, with the show featuring both a fire eater and live music. Tickets start at £15.50.
