Six people treated for smoke inhalation following fire at Citadel Court

An investigation is underway to establish the cause of a fire in Citadel Court on Admiralty Street Leith.

Residents were evacuated from the tower block after a fire broke out in a stairwell around 10pm on Monday night.

Six people were treated at the scene for smoke inhalation.

Around 20 firefighters tackled the blaze.

A fire service spokeswoman said: “An investigation into the cause of the fire is under way.”
