Flo Kamberi believes Hibs have character to finish second

Florian Kamberi insists that the Hibs’ players have the character to overtake Rangers and Aberdeen to finish second in the league.

The popular Swiss striker has yet to appear on a losing side since arriving on-loan during the January transfer window and he added to his goal tally with a superb strike against Kilmarnock on Saturday.

There is much more to his game than goals however and he played a pivotal role in Scott Alan’s opener.

Nil Lennon recently revealed that Hibs and parent club Grasshoppers have provisionally agreed a fee and the fans are desperate for him to remain at Easter Road.

Speaking after Saturday’s epic 5-3 victory over fifth placed Kilmarnock, Kamberi said:“It was a big season for Hibs last season in the Championship and now we are in the Premiership fighting for second place.

“We can’t forget how far we’ve come.we are on a good run and hopefully we can end up second.

“We’ve certainly showed we have the character to do it.

“We’ve now won two difficult games and we showed character up to the 95th minute.

“Our opponents know what qualities we have and we haven’t lost a game since January.

“Our last loss came against Celtic, so our opponents know our strength and it is not easy when they know we have big qualities.

“They know they have to be well organised against us but we are doing very well.

“Aberdeen and Rangers are more under pressure than us.
