The Cramond Brig, upriver from the new fish pass

The River Forth Fisheries Trust plan to open the Fair a Far Weir fish pass on Saturday, 21 April (11.30am).

It was cancelled in early March because of the bad weather and guest speakers will outline the work.

The trust will have a stall to provide more information about the fish pass and also the works currently being carried out by the RiverLife project on the Almond and Avon.

Refreshments will be available alongside home baking and the event will take place on the grassy area in front of the weir next to the mill buildings.

Fair a Far fish pass is part of RiverLife: Almond & Avon, a partnership project between the River Forth Fisheries Trust, The City of Edinburgh Council and West Lothian Council.

And the project aims to improve the rivers Almond and Avon for the benefit of wildlife and the communities along them.
