James Corden hails jubilant Hibs’ fans to 10.2m followers

James Corden has shared a You Tube clip showing Hibs’ fans singing Sunshine on Leith after their historic Scottish Cup final victory over Rangers at Hampden Park in 2016.

The comedian who has become a major star in the USA hosting the iconic Late Late Show posted the link to his 10.2m followers writing ‘This is beautiful. Just beautiful. Sunshine on Leith sung by 50,000 wonderful people.”

The song which was written by Hibs’ fans The Proclaimers Craig and Charlie Reid has been adopted by the Easter Road faithful and is regularly played after significant victories.

The video was made immediately after the club ended their 114 year hoodoo in the competition.

It regularly features in best football anthem polls along with the likes of Liverpool and Celtic’s ‘You’ll Never Walk Alone’

The tweet has now been liked over 5,000 times and re-tweeted over 1,600 times including by the official Hibernian Twitter account.
