Hearts Confirm Walker Departure

As expected, Jamie Walker has left Hearts to sign a two-and-a-half-year deal with English League One club Wigan Athletic.

Walker, 24, progressed through Hearts youth academy and made his debut for the Maroons in August 2012.

He would go on to make 181 appearances for Hearts, scoring 40 goals.

Both Hearts and Wigan Athletic have stated the fee to take Walker south is ‘undisclosed’; however, the Edinburgh Reporter understands the fee is just short of £300,000.
