Eskbank-based Cross Borders Brewing has landed another major business award.

It has been named Micro-Business of the Year in the Scottish section of the FSB Celebrating Small Business Awards 2018.

And the brewery recently collected the Business Start-up prize at the Midlothian and East Lothian Chamber of Commerce awards.

It’s a major double for the craft brewery which began trading two years ago and has already built up an impressive range of beers which are rapidly growing in popularity across the UK.

Jonny Wilson, head brewer and co-founder, of Cross Borders said the award was recognition for the hard work the team have put into their passion for brewing.

He added: “To be named micro-business of the year in Scotland less than two years into our journey is fantastic.

“Not only do we have award-winning beers, but it means a lot to us to be an award-winning business.

“We look forward to building on these strong foundations and sharing our passion for great beers with even more customers in future.”

The Scottish stage of the FSB Celebrating Small Business Awards 2018 is sponsored by Business Gateway and Hugh Lightbody said: “We provide free, practical advice thousands of businesses across Scotland no matter what stage they’re at in their business life cycle.”
