Witness appeal after BMW M2 stolen during housebreaking in Uphall
Police are appealing for witnesses following a housebreaking and theft in Uphall, Broxburn which took place between 2.30pm yesterday afternoon and 12.10am this morning at an address in the Craigengar Avenue area.
During this time entry has been forced to the rear of the property through smashing a glass patio door.
Once inside those responsible have searched the property and stolen a key to a vehicle that has then been taken from the front driveway.
The car is described as a grey BMW M2 with the registration plates DY17 YGJ.
Inquiries are continuing to trace those responsible and anyone with information is asked to come forward.
Detective Sergeant Craig Leckie from the Community Investigation Unit at Livingston said: “We are keen to hear from anyone who may have witnessed any suspicious behaviour in the Uphall area on Thursday evening.
“This is a distinctive vehicle and I would ask the public to the vigilant and report any sightings of it to police as soon as possible.
“Equally, anyone who knows who is responsible or has information that can help with our investigations is asked to contact police immediately.”
Those with information are asked to contact the Community Investigation Unit in Livingston via 101, quoting incident number 0037 of 29 December. Alternatively, an anonymous report can be made through the charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
