Police name motorcyclist who died in Boxing day collision

Police have named the motorcyclist who died in a collision with a parked car in Edinburgh on Boxing Day as David McGarvey from Edinburgh.

The 28-year-old suffered fatal injuries when the Husqvarna motorcycle he was riding struck a parked Saab 93 car on Duddingston Park.

Road policing officers are continuing with their inquiries and anyone with information is asked to come forward.

Anyone with information that can help with the investigation is asked to contact the road policing unit at Fettes via 101.
