Martin Boyle signs contract extension with Hibs
Hibs’ winger Martin Boyle has signed a contract extension with the club.
The 24-year-old verbally agreed a deal earlier this month and has now put pen to paper on a deal until 2021.
Boyle joined the club, initially on loan, from Dundee in 2015, making the move permanent later that summer. A new two year deal was signed earlier this summer, but he has now extended that deal by a further year.
He won the Scottish Cup and Ladbrokes Championship title, and has become an integral part of Neil Lennon’s first team, scoring five times in 22 starts this season.
Boyle told the club website: “I am delighted to have signed a contract extension with the club.
“I’m really enjoying my football at the moment – we have a strong squad and are in a good place to push on.
“I feel my game is developing all the time and I look forward to continuing that in the coming years.”
Neil Lennon said: “It’s great news that Martin has signed a new deal.
“He has thoroughly deserved the extension – he’s been fantastic this season and made the step up to the Premiership without any issues.
“On his day he can be one of the most dangerous players in the league – he brings real pace and power and can do some damage to defences when he’s on form.”
