Elite League: Coventry Blaze 4, Braehead Clan 3 (after sudden death overtime); Milton Keynes Lightning 5, Dundee Stars 1.

Brian Hart netted Dundee Stars’ consolation strike in a 5-1 defeat at Elite League newcomers Milton Keynes Lightning.

It was the Scots seventh straight reverse but Lightning’s Scottish coach Peter Russell celebrated after snapping a three game losing streak.

Jordan Pietrus scored early in sudden death overtime as Coventry Blaze snapped a seven-game losing streak against misfiring Braehead Clan who have now lost their last three league fixtures.

Pietrus netted 60 seconds into the extra session to land the Midlands club a come-from-behind 4-3 victory at The Skydome after they were 2-1 down in 24 minutes.
