Aaron Summers has been confirmed as Berwick Bandits first signing for next season.

The 29-year-old Aussie racer joins on loan from parent club Glasgow Tigers where he was club captain.

Scott Courtney, one of Bandits owners, said Shielfield Park is a track Summers rides well.

And Berwick bosses are looking forward to seeing the former Edinburgh Monarchs racer spearhead the new Bandits line-up.

Courtney added: “Everyone at the club is excited to welcome Aaron onboard for 2018.

“He ticks all the boxes for us he’s a great team man, ultimate professional and a big point scorer.

“He’s haunted us a few too many times in Glasgow colours and to have secured his services for the Bandits is something we are very pleased about.

“Aaron is based locally and that only adds to positive influence he will have at the club.”
