Investigation underway after two pizza delivery drivers robbed in Gorgie
A police investigation is underway after two pizza delivery driver were threatened by youths in the Gorgie area earier this week.
On Wednesday, a 40-year-old Domino’s driver was making a delivery on Westfield Road in Gorgie on Wednesday when four teenagers attempted to grab his bag. He struggled with the group until one of them produced a knife and they made off with the pizzas.
On Tuesday, a 50-year-old Pizza Hut driver was approached by three teenagers on Westfield Avenue who threatened him with a knife and fled with pizzas towards Alexander Drive.
Detective Constable Joyce Gunderson said: “While neither driver was injured during these robberies both were left alarmed after being confronted and threatened by the youths involved.
“We are currently looking to establish if both incidents are linked.”
All four suspects are believed to have been around 17 years old and several were wearing ski masks.
