Good inspection report for Hermitage Park Primary School

Following an inspection visit by Education Scotland in September of this year, their report has just been published today showing good and very good in all the various categories.

They have good things to say about the headteacher and her ‘leadership of change’ and they found a supportive learning environment where children feel their contributions to decision making are valued. The inspectors commented that this leads to a great pride in the school.

The recommendations for improvement are that there must be consistency in high quality learning teaching and assessment across the nursery and primary stages, and the inspectors would like to see the school’s vision and values refreshed.

They feel that this would ‘more accurately reflect the school’s ambition and commitment to continuous improvement.’
