World first housed at QM University
The world’s first Food & Drink Business Improvement Development (BID) group called Scotland’s Food & Drink County, East Lothian, will be hosted at Queen Margaret University (QMU).
The BID was established to drive growth by sharing resources and providing marketing, sales and distribution to food and drink producers.
QMU is home to the Scottish Centre for Food Development & Innovation and has been an associate member and an active supporter of the BID since its inception.
Louise Elder, chair of the BID and the founder of Black & Gold rapeseed oil, said: “These are exciting times for East Lothian suppliers.
“This is an invaluable opportunity which will allow us to maximise the group’s exposure to QMU’s food and health expertise.”
