Teenager suffers serious facial injuries during Morningside attack

A police investigation is underway after a teenager suffered serious facial injuries during an attack in Morningside Road which took place just after 6am this morning.Officers are treating the incident as a serious assault and cordoned off a section of the street.

The 19-year-old victim was taken to the Edinburgh Royal Infirmary following the incident.

A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: “Officers are currently following a positive line of inquiry.”
