Tron now back in business after facelift

Inside the new-look Tron in the heart of Edinburgh’s tourist area

The Tron, which is popular with tourists, students and locals, has reopened after an extensive facelift.

It is located near the iconic Tron Kirk on Hunter Square and now offers a new food menu in a relaxed atmosphere.

Fresh stone-baked pizzas, 21-day-aged steaks, low and slow meat and rib options as well as mix and match tapas (drunken mushrooms, pulled brisket croquettes and buttermilk boneless chicken pieces) are on the menu

A selection of local craft beers, ales and ciders plus pub entertainment, such as live sport plus regular quiz, comedy and music nights, are on offer.

A total of 12 new jobs have been created and Adam Choat, the general manager, said; “There have been some big changes and we’re confident they’ll go down well.

“We’re a stone’s throw away from some of Edinburgh’s famous historic landmarks such as Edinburgh Castle and St Giles Cathedral. We’re also near Waverley Station.”
