Richie Worrall welcomed news of a team bonding session for Glasgow Tigers after a recent form slump.

Team manager Stewart Dickson plans a talk-in this week as the club enters the business end of the season.

In-form Worrall powered to 14 points at Newcastle Diamonds but Glasgow lost 53-39 as other team-mates failed to deliver.

Third-placed Tigers are now 11 points adrift of pace-setting Sheffield Tigers in the Championship race but have the chance for quick revenge when the Tyneside team visit the Peugeot Ashfield Stadium on Saturday (tapes-up 7pm).

And the Englishman admitted: “We’re not all firing. We’re doing it at separate times which is no good for the team.

“Hopefully, a bit of bonding will be good before the meeting. We need to because Newcastle are tough at our place.”

And Worrall revealed: “We’re all just turning up, doing our job and then leaving and there needs to be a bit more than that.”
