Kezia Dugdale steps down as leader of Scottish Labour

Tonight BBC Scotland have confirmed in an interview that the leader of the Labour Party in Scotland, Kezia Dugdale, has stepped down.

While she will continue as Lothians MSP, Ms Dugdale has relinquished the leadership role.

Commenting on the resignation of Kezia Dugdale as the Scottish Labour leader, Scottish Liberal Democrat leader Willie Rennie MSP said:

“Kezia Dugdale has been a good thing for Labour. Her open, friendly, and upbeat style was appealing. I enjoyed working with her on common causes and hope that will continue. I wish her well for the future.”
