Edinburgh Festival Fringe 2017 – Columns
Columns is a welcoming, conversational new play about the stories we tell ourselves to maintain hope in hard times.
Moving, charming, and sincere, Columns believes in the power of theatre to bind people together – a moment of magic at 10.55am that will leave you inspired for the rest of the day.
Sweet but diffident Joe is distraught: his parents have vanished. The clever and candid Sophie assures him she can help – but can he trust her? As their stories collide and truth blurs into fiction, their actors begin to realise they can’t disentangle their own lives from the play world.
Columns is a brand new show from a dynamic new company, The Wax House. We believe it is past time that theatre companies of all stripes made real steps toward accessibility. In line with our vision of a social and sociable theatre that welcomes everybody, we will also be offering our show in Relaxed Performances on both of the Thursdays during our Edinburgh run.
