Guest Richard Lawson powered to 15 points but Berwick Bandits still skidded to another defeat.

The Glasgow Tigers star collected almost half Bandits points with the next best Berwick riders scoring four points each.

This time it was Newcastle Diamonds who did the damage, winning 60-33.

Ludvig Lindgren was their top scorer with 11 points followed by two guests from Glasgow Tigers.

Richie Worrall and Aaron Summers both collected ten points in the comfortable win.

Berwick are now cast adrift at the bottom of the ten-strong table with ten points from 21 matches.

Second-bottom Scunthorpe Scorpions have 17 points from 20 fixtures with Workington Comets in eighth place with 21 points from only 11 matches.

Berwick co-promoter Dennis McCleary said it was another match the team will have to put down to experience.

Bruised Bandits move on to the next challenge in the championship at Edinburgh Monarchs on Friday. Tapes go up at 7.30pm
