Edinburgh Festival Fringe 2017 – Kiri Pritchard-McLean: Appropriate Adult
Following her critically-acclaimed debut at last year’s Edinburgh Festival Fringe, a UK tour and a run at London’s Soho Theatre, Chortle Award nominated Kiri returns this year with a brand-new show.
An immoral comedian’s morality tale about other people’s lack of morals.
Kiri is one of a growing group of Millennials who have decided that they don’t want to have children biologically but will adopt instead.
She thinks the world revolves around her but she didn’t let that stop her mentoring vulnerable young people. She wishes she can make a difference. She’s going to be extremely careful what she wishes for in future.
As well as already being a hugely popular regular on the comedy circuit, Kiri is also the Director and co-writer with the Best Newcomer Nominated, Gein’s Family Giftshop.
She has appeared on tour as a support for Rob Brydon, Rory Bremner, Sarah Millican and Justin Moorhouse and frequently appears on BBC Radio Wales. She has also appeared on Russell Howard’s Stand-up Central & on Radio 4 favourites The Now Show and The Newsquiz.
Kiri’s hit podcast, All Killa no Filla, about the lives of serial killers, has also rapidly become a cult hit and has recently completed a sell-out UK tour.
This Edinburgh festival will also see the debut of Amusical, a show dedicated to comedian’s love of musical theatre she co-created with XFM’s Dave Cribb and co-hosts with Jayde Adams. This feel good, camp, celebration of Musicals will take place for one night only in the Pleasance Grand on August 23rd. Expect to see Sara Pascoe, Tape Face, Nish Kumar and Joel Dommett and many others in a brand new light and get ready for the best night of your life – including your wedding day.
