Edinburgh Festival Fringe 2017 – Henry Café, The Goodwill Ambassador!

No! It’s not Noel Edmund’s love-child with a rug and a roulette halo.

HENRY CAFÉ: IT’S GAMESHOW TIME!

The Gameshow where celebrities compete to end world poverty.

Alternative comedian Henry Café has trained at Ecole Phillipe Gaulier and has written for shows on BBC4Extra. He’s a regular face on London’s comedy circuit. This show is an expansion of It’s Gameshow Time! – a cult comedy night in London.

Henry Café: It’s Gameshow Time! is an interactive alternative comedy show. The audience are split into two teams and must compete to have their adopted celebrity made a UN Goodwill Ambassador. Obstacles contestants must overcome include: popping balloons with their crotches, identifying dogs that look like world leaders, a Rod Stewart dance-off.

The show ends with a coronation of the new Goodwill Ambassador and the ritual sacrifice of the goblin king, who may or may not be a metaphor for global poverty. You will leave with the warm feeling of belonging and acceptance, having experienced the white-hot terror of competing for your life against a ruthless celebrity b***ard.
