Edinburgh Festival Fringe 2017 – We Are Not a Muse

With a good dose of irony, two young women take on men and their muses in an exploration of how to make literature really sell. Punctilious publishers Tite and Snobbo review and rehash works by Wendy Cope, George Eliot, and Charlotte Perkins Gilman, to make your favourite feminist tales palatable to the patriarchy. 

We Are Not a Muse examines and lampoons the masculinity and misogyny that dominate the worlds of literature and theatre through comedy, puppetry and dynamic story-telling.  

Performance junkies Imogen Hayes and Signe Lury make their return to Edinburgh Fringe Festival, devising and starring in this original and highly a-muse-ing two-woman show that marks Proxy Moon Theatre’s comedy debut.
