Fishing – Jake walks to success on Scotland’s canals

Conventional coarse fish anglers normally cast a float into the water and patiently wait for some activity. Jake Schogler is different.

He walks Scotland’s canals including The Union and the Forth & Clyde carrying his rod and reel and a box full of lures in his pocket.

The Edinburgh-based angler covers miles in search of prime specimens of pike and perch and he is keen to encourage more anglers to follow his method.

The man who makes music in his day job has struck a chord with his method of fishing as he has achieved a remarkable degree of success.

Pictures of his captures appear regularly on social media and Jake, who writes on fishing for leading publications, tells us about his method in this video.
